Judith Jacobet Wambayi is the current President of Abeingo Association Canada. She is a Community Health Promoter and a Research Consultant with Health and Life Promotion Research Consultancy providing research and community education and support services to hospitals, local & international organizations and individuals. She is also a member of the broader Kenyan Community in Ontario (KCO). Edith provides support on the social determinants of health to these and other communities in Canada. Prior to migrating to Canada, Edith worked with the Ministry of Health in Kenya for over 10 years conducting disease surveillance, prevention and control as well as research. She served on various Ministerial committees. Edith holds a PhD and M.Sc in Medical Sciences, a Bachelor's degree in Education/Science, a Diploma in Community-Based Program Planning and Management, and several certificates in the health field. With a focus on HIV/AIDS, Edith has facilitated community-based workshops in Kenya and Canada in the fight against the scourge. As well, she is currently conducting research on HIV/AIDS among Toronto's African and Caribbean communities. Edith also works with several Provincial, National and International AIDS Service Organizations (ASO's) as well as non-ASO's. Edith is a member of the Ministerial Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. The Council provides advice to the Federal Minister of Health on the National Strategy on HIV/AIDS.

John Watibini is the current Secretary of Abeingo Association Canada. He holds a B.A degree in Political Science and a diploma in Public Administration from the University of Nairobi. He currently works as the Office Manager with Across Boundaries: An Ethno racial Mental Health Centre. John immigrated to Canada 3 years ago and immediately joined Abeingo Association Canada. He is member of Kenya Community in Ontario (KCO). John's experience includes administration, office management, financial management and budgeting, human resources, project management, logistics, event coordination and community mobilization. John is interested in writing and enjoys new places and meeting people from different cultures and committed to anti-racism, anti-oppression and poverty.

Gabriel Werunga is the Treasurer of Abeingo Association Canada. Currently he works as an Account Associate with Community MicroSkills Development Centre which is a multicultural, non-profit organization committed to assisting the unemployed, with priority to women, racial minorities, youth and immigrants. He is a member of the United Way Toronto. Gabriel has over seven years experience in administration and financial field in variety of sectors including retail, financial services and public sector. He is a (CPA) Certified Public Accountant.

Everett Wakoli is a past President and board member of Abeingo Association Canada. He holds a B. Sc. in Mech. Engineering, Cert Canesugar Manufacture and Diploma in Textile Engineering. He has worked in both public and private sector in Kenya for over 20 years before migrating to Canada. He has worked in process industry in various management capacities in Operations & Maintenance both in Kenya and Canada. He is currently working with the American Sugar Refining Inc. in Toronto. Before migrating to Canada he worked for British multinational Lonrho Agribusiness at their EATEC plant in Eldoret-Kenya. Everett has a passion for mobilizing people in any way that empowers them to overcome the day to day challenges of life. While still living in Eldoret-Kenya he spearheaded the formation of Oasis Residents Association in the newly created estate of Oasis, and served as its founding Vice Chairman.
When he came to Canada, he settled in Mississauga with his family and joined the Malton Baptist Church. He volunteered in various capacities in the congregation working with the youth group as the Director of youth programs and also served as a member of the church board between 2004/06.
He was among the founders of Abeingo Association Canada and served as its Vice President between 2004/06 and President from 2006 to date.
He has volunteered in a number of different capacities in the Kenyan-Canadian community in the Greater Toronto Area, participating in the community as a resource in focus groups and during elections. One of the direct results of his community involvement is the Kiswahili teaching program which was first initiated at the Jane/ Finch area run by a group of volunteers from the Abeingo Association Canada but was later taken over by the Toronto District Schools Board.

Joy Nalianya Kofia lives in Newmarket with her family. She holds a M.Sc. in Pharmacy. Prior to moving to Canada she worked as a hospital pharmacist at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), the largest Referral and Teaching Hospital in Kenya for over 10 years. Joy currently works with Loblaw Companies Ltd as a staff pharmacist. She is a board member of Abeingo Association Canada and also involved in volunteer activities with Peel Public Health.She enjoys playing tennis and jogging.
